There are many great reasons for installing a backyard putting green from Southwest Greens in your home. We're guessing however, that when going through your reasons you left "environmentally friendly" off the list. You may be in it to lower your handicap, but you may also increase your awareness and make a difference in the process. More and more we're learning how environmentally unsound mowing and maintaining natural grass can be. By installing one of our putting greens made from the finest artificial grass on the market, you'll be doing something about it simply by having the time of your life.
Our indoor putting greens and outdoor synthetic golf greens benefit the environment by virtue of what they don't require in terms of maintenance. For the uninitiated, here are some facts about the destructive nature of lawn maintenance. Did you know that using a gas lawnmower for just one hour, in addition to being more expensive than ever due to gas prices, is equal in emissions to taking a 100-mile car trip? And if that's not enough, each time you mow you single-handedly release hydrocarbons in the air that eventually reappear as smog. Because there is no mowing associated with our synthetic grass greens and lawns, these problems are instantly eliminated.
As is the issue of wasted water. Seems we're just crazy about wasting water these days, and nowhere do we waste more than on our yards. In fact, the average household uses some 25 gallons of water per square foot of lawn per year. With synthetic grass no watering means no waste, and the water you'll be conserving will magically reappear as savings in your bank account.
Did we mention there's no maintenance? If we did mention it allow us to do so again, because on a hot summer day nothing can take the wind out of your sails quite like yardwork. Our greens require no mowing, watering, fertilizer, or chemicals, ever. All they require is your presence, putter or chipper in hand, working on your short game in the comfort of your own backyard.
Even if an environmentally sound yard isn't at the top of your list of reasons for wanting a backyard putting green, you have to admit it's a pretty cool added benefit. Bring a sense of convenience to your practice schedule while enhancing the uniqueness and fun factor of your backyard. And do it all by beginning installation on a Southwest Greens putting green today.
